Many users after Entering the 16 digit verification code in iTunes gift card section, they get error message “Error you must enter a valid code”. They purchased the gift card from varified partners and retail shops. Here are some of the possible reason why you get this Error code and how to Fix Them.
#1. Not purchased from verified sellers
Many users to get a gift card for low prices, they purchased iTunes gift card from unverified resellers. So my suggestion is to always buy these stuff from varified shops and vendors so that you do not fall in traps of fake products.
#2. Entered the code incorrectly
You may have entered the code incorrectly in hurry. Always enter the code in capitals and don’t make mistake in similar looking words and alphabets such as “0” and “o”. Some more examples are
- B and 8
- D and O
- E and 3
- G and 6
- O and Q
- O and 0
- S and 5
- U and V
- Z and 2
#3. Card or code is from a different country or region
App Store & iTunes Gift Cards and Apple Music Gift Cards are specific to your country or region. If you’re trying to redeem an App Store & iTunes Gift Card or Apple Music Gift Card that was purchased in a different country or region, make sure that you’re redeeming it in the iTunes Store for the same country or region. You can’t redeem cards outside of the country or region of purchase. For example, an App Store & iTunes Gift Card purchased in France can’t be redeemed in an iTunes Store in the U.S.
#3. Contact Apple support
If the code is completely scratched off or you still can’t redeem your gift card, contact iTunes Support:
- Go to the iTunes Store support page and choose your country.
- From the menu on the left, choose Contact Support.
- Click Contact iTunes Store Support.
- Follow the instructions.
iTunes Store Support might ask you to send these things:
